Harley Haddow provided full civil and structural engineering services for both phases of the project. Phase one included a braced steel frame warehouse constructed on shallow peat with rock foundations, along with associated car parking. Phase two involved extensive civil engineering works for the factory extension, including rock excavation, rock anchoring, retaining walls, and service yard construction. The 80m pier was designed with driven steel piles and prestressed concrete I-beams for the running deck, ensuring durability and resilience in a coastal environment.

We worked closely with the client, architects, and contractors throughout both phases to coordinate building layouts, structural solutions, and site logistics. Early engagement with the client ensured the phased programme met operational needs, maintaining production during construction while integrating new facilities efficiently.
