Minimum Energy Rating
Changes to the Energy Act 2011 come into force in April 2018. This will require landlords of privately rented domestic and non-domestic property in England or Wales to ensure that their properties reach at least an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of E before granting a new tenancy to new or existing tenants.
In Scotland Section 63 is currently in force for non-domestic property over 1,000m2 to comply with the Energy Act.
