Harley Haddow’s SWG3 project has been awarded Best Sustainability Project at the annual Association of Consultancy and Engineering (Ace) awards last night (Thursday 18th of January 2024). Held at the Leonardo Royal in London Tower Bridge, the awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of those in the industry, aiming to champion the best people, projects and companies from the engineering realm.

This award recognizes our work on the iconic Glaswegian event space SWG3, as part of the BODYHEAT project, which helped revolutionise the event space by turning event goers body heat into reusable energy.

Danny Ross, Associate Director, was highly commended within the Emerging Professional category for his dedication to leadership and his performance at the consultancy. Since joining Harley Haddow in 2012, Danny has gone from strength to strength at HH, inspired by his grandfather to enter the engineering world, he has led major projects including SWG3 and is an expert in driving Net Zero and sustainability.

Associate Director, Danny Ross said “It is an incredible honour to have seen our SWG3 project receive this recognition. Working in the engineering realm for the past ten years has been a fantastic journey for me and to be commended for my hard work in this is a huge highlight. Harley Haddow has been an amazing support and opened doors for me, and I can’t thank the team enough for their support throughout my journey.” Over the course of last year, we have collaborated with clients on a range of exciting projects, such as SWG3, and the success reflects the commitment and expertise of our team, whose hard work has been key to turning this win into a reality.

Director, Jim Kellachan said “As a consultancy, we are proud of Danny and all that he has achieved in his eleven years at Harley Haddow. From driving the SWG3 project to now honing the new restoration works at the Glasgow Pipe Factory, Danny continues to show his passion and expertise in the sustainability field, which is why he hugely deserves this recognition.”
