Introduction

This development provides a mix of 20 self-contained amenity bungalows and 30 extra care flats within a two-storey building, complemented by associated infrastructure works. The project was designed to create comfortable, accessible housing that meets modern standards for energy efficiency and sustainability.

Building Design & Features

The scheme includes two distinct accommodation types: individual bungalows offering independence, and a two-storey block of extra care flats with integrated support facilities. All units were carefully designed to maximise accessibility, natural light and resident comfort, with thoughtfully planned external infrastructure to support the community.

Sustainability & Energy

The development has been designed to meet Building Regulations Section 7 Silver, ensuring standardised energy and carbon reduction across the project. Passive design strategies, energy-efficient systems, and construction detailing work together to minimise operational energy demand and reduce the overall environmental footprint.

Our Role

Harley Haddow provided full MEP consultancy, delivering low-energy building services in line with regulatory and sustainability targets. The team collaborated closely with the architect and client to ensure the mechanical and electrical design complemented the accessible housing strategy while supporting energy efficiency and long-term maintainability.
