Harley Haddow is proud to demonstrate our commitment to net zero through the ACE Pledge to Net Zero.

2024 is the second year that Harley Haddow are reporting our footprint and this year we have expanded the data captured into more Scope 3 areas.  Our data includes Scope 1, 2 and 3.  Harley Haddow is a dynamic and growing business and as we continue on our journey towards net zero we will continue to increase the amount of data we are collecting as well as looking to minimise the impact of our business.

Our baseline year (2023) footprint was 40.08 tCO2e Scope 1 &2 and 68.74 tCO2e Scope 3. Our latest carbon footprint for 2024 is 41.01 tCO2e Scope 1&2 and 121.05 tCO2e Scope .  Our Scope 1 and 2 footprint has increased slightly this year because we have moved into new offices in Manchester and Inverness and a larger office in London, and are now able to better track our own energy use.

Our Scope 3 footprint has increased significantly.  This is due to us capturing more data on travel and waste, additional data on purchases and homeworking, as well as being a growing business where we have more staff meaning more commuting and travel in general.

For 2025 we aim to capture more scope 3 data and improve our data capture techniques.  We may reset our baseline year.   We are also aiming to implement the written plan for net zero within the business and introduce net zero champions across the offices to promote our aims. We are also exploring ways we can incentivise greener business travel, introducing a green travel hierarchy and continuing to promote our staff EV leasing and cycle to work schemes.
